The latest appointments at Clinique, Boucheron, Bacardi Travel Retail, Rockwell Diamonds, Giorgio Armani, Michael Kors and Anya Hindmarch

Another month, another string of luxury industry re-arrangements. James McArthur, former CEO of Harrods and Balenciaga, has taken up the same post at Anya Hindmarch, whilst Devon Pike, former SVP of Juicy Couture, has taken over De Beers Diamond Jewellery business in the US.

Whilst news of a Galliano successor for Dior is still at large, Clare Waight Keller is confirmed as the new creative director at Chloé, whilst PPR’s Boucheron moves forward with new CEO, Pierre Bouissou.

Jeffry Aronsson, CEO, Emanuel Ungaro

Emanuel Ungaro has charged American ‘turnaround expert’ Jeffry Aronsson as its latest CEO, replacing Mounir Moufarriage, who left in late 2009 just before his chosen artistic advisor, Lindsay Lohan, was sacked. Aronsson has previously served as chief executive at Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta.

Devon Pike, CEO, De Beers Diamond Jewellers

Formerly the SVP of digital at Juicy Couture, Devon Pike has joined De Beers as the CEO of its US business. Prior to digital and travel retail roles at Juicy Couture, Ms Pike spent six years at Polo Ralph Lauren.

Former Harrods and Balenciaga CEO, James McArthur, has been appointed Anya Hindmarch’s first external chief executive office. The role was previously held by Hindmarch herself, who will now focus on duties as chairman and creative director.

Jenna Menard, global colour artist, Clinique

A newly created role for Clinique, make-up artist Jenna Menard has been appointed global colour artist, where she is charged with the task of creating compelling digital content to amplify Clinique’s colour positioning. And work closely with the Clinique Product Development, Marketing and Education teams to inspire the development of new products, trends and application techniques.

Mark Cornell, CEO, Edmiston

Former LVMH senior executive, Mark Cornell, has been appointed CEO of Edmiston yachts, suceeding Nicholas Edmiston who remains chairman of the super-premium yachting brand. Prior to this appointment, Mr Cornell served at LVMH for over a decade as CEO of Moet Hennessy USA & CEO of Krug.

The Bacardi Global Travel Retail Division has announced the appointments of three new directors: Aude Rocourt has been appointed as the new Travel Retail Regional Director for North and South Europe. Paul Francis will succeed Mr Rocourt in the role of Travel Retail Regional Director for Asia Pacific, whilst Vinay Golikeri has been appointed as the new Marketing Director for Bacardi Global Travel Retail.

James Campbell, CEO, Rockwell Diamonds

Former VP of Lucara Diamond Corporation, James Campell has been appointed president and CEO of Rockwell Diamonds. Campbell also worked as managing director of African Diamonds until it was acquired by Lucara.

John Hooks, Giorgio Armani

After 11 years service at Giorgio Armani, John Hooks recently resigned the position of deputy chairman, with no immediate successor yet named. Giorgio Armani’s nephew Andrea Camerana will take his place on the board, whilst Livio Proli, General Manager of the Giorgio Armani Group, has been given increased responsibilities.

Clare Waight Keller, creative director, Chloé

Chloé has named Clare Waight Keller as creative director, taking over the position from Hannah MacGibbon, who is leaving to pursue new projects. Prior to her appointment at Chloé, Ms Waight Keller was the creative director at Pringle of Scotland for six years and has also worked with Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.

Pierre Bouissou, CEO, Boucheron

Pierre Bouissou has been announced to replace Jean-Christophe Bedos as President and CEO of PPR brand Boucheron. Jean-Christophe Bedos has decided to leave the group to pursue other projects.
