We in the luxury industry are living through tremendous times, as challenging and complex as they are auspicious. Global economic uncertainties and massive social and cultural shifts are changing consumer expectations while unprecedented emerging market affluence and an aspiring middle class are adding breadth and depth to the industry's identity.

The definition of luxury has changed considerably in recent years. No longer the privileged domain of the happy few, it is an eclectic, competitive and highly developed marketplace. Luxury today is simultaneously conservative and contemporary, extravagant and minimalist, vintage and modern, elite and accessible—it is art as well as commerce, an industry and a philosophy.

From designers, manufacturers and producers, to distributors, consultants, advertisers and agents, the luxury industry is a fragmented family of over 1 million professionals in the world. While disparate and diverse, however, our community is bound by the same belief that unparalleled quality, craftsmanship, innovation, service and design are the principal cornerstones of our industry.

We believe that our individual and collective success hinges on our ability to evolve with the times. It is thus essential to develop a global online community to empower and enhance our network, intelligence and careers.

We created Luxury Society to bring our industry's best and brightest around a 21st century table of ideas. Our mission is simple: to inform and connect our community. By becoming a forum for debate and exchange we strive to herald new concepts, inspire fruitful collaborations and create outstanding business opportunities.
