The recently launched ‘Urban Sanctuary’ rooftop spa at London’s Four Seasons, Hyde Park

Top London properties are made all the more attractive with big name spas, as W Hotels launch in St Petersburg and Sofitel opens in Guangzhou.

The recently launched Four Seasons Hotel has already drawn attention for its panoramic views of Hyde Park but to further indulge guests and discerning residents of London, they have added an ESPA Spa on the 10th floor, where guests are invited to take in massages, facials and spa treatments along with the breath-taking view.

The Lanham have also launched a new Chuan spa facility, promised to be London’s first hotel spa to incorporate the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Whilst Missoni have joined forces with Six Senses, to bring the recently launched Kuwait hotel a 1,500sqm spa facility, including two Hammams and treatments inspired by Arabic traditions.

Openings in China, Vietnam, India and Russia do nothing to dispel hype that luxury growth is being fuelled by emerging markets, as Starwood, Accor and Taj brands all do their best to capitalise on the new business and leisure locations.


Sofitel, Guangzhou

Located in Tianhe, the dynamic financial and commercial district of Guangzhou, the latest Parisian-style Sofitel incorporates 493 spectacular rooms and suites, 5 bars and restaurants and 17 state-of-the-art meeting rooms, alongside recreational facilities SoSpa, SoFit 24-hour fitness centre and an indoor pool with underwater music.

The Luxury Collection, New York

Marking The Luxury Collection’s debut in New York, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has signed a license agreement with The Chatwal New York, an acclaimed 83-room property in Manhattan’s Theatre District. The addition of The Chatwal also represents another milestone for Starwood with New York City becoming the first and only city in the world to boast all nine of its distinctive and iconic brands: Sheraton, Westin, Le Meridien, W, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, Four Points by Sheraton, Element and Aloft.

Vivanta by Taj, Kashmir

Joining the Taj Hotels stable under the Vivanta brand, Dal View, Srinagar is spread over six acres on Kralsangri hill, overlooking scenic Dal Lake. The property has 89 rooms and suites, all ergonomically designed with 40" LCD TVs and large plush bathrooms with bathtubs and rain showers. As well as restaurant options in the style of local cuisine, contemporary European in the coffee shop and a specialty Chinese restaurant, Jade Dragon.

Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa, Vietnam

Debuting in Vietnam, the Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa is located just under 200km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, on the South East Coast of Vietnam.
